While durable, it is important to note that genuine pearls are on the softer side (Mohs hardness 2.5–4.5), so they can be scratched easily by metals and gems and  require a bit more care to be maintained.

We recommend  always put pearls on last when dressing (after perfume, hairspray, lotion) 

Cleaning

• After wearing, gently wipe pearls with a soft, damp cloth to remove oils and residue.

• Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, or harsh chemicals—these will damage the nacre.

• If deeper cleaning is needed, use mild soapy water, then dry on a soft towel (avoid soaking strands, as water can weaken the thread).

Everyday Use

• Pearls are fine for regular wear but not for sports, swimming, or showering.

• Avoid exposure to chlorine, saltwater, sweat, or acidic skin products.
